Taking Care of “Family”

Cathedral High School raised over $709,000 during their virtual fundraiser for the school — over $196,000 of that for the cause promoted by this video. That calculates to about a 100x return on investment! Grace Trahan-Rodecap, marketing director at the high school, told us, "I have no doubt the Fund-A-Need video played a huge role in our success. A friend of mine texted me after the video and said, 'Oh my gosh! That video was amazing! I can't stop crying.'"

Several members of the tight-knit community at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis have been financially hit hard by the pandemic. The Quartos have attended for three generations, but as the owner of a small bar and grill, Mike, the breadwinner, hasn’t given himself a paycheck in seven months. Tuition was quickly impossible to pay, but the high school anticipated the need and set up a special Emergency COVID Relief Fund, which supplied the Quartos and over 50 other families with the financial assistance to cover their tuition and other needs.

Cathedral High School usually holds their annual fundraising auction in-person, but COVID forced the event to go virtual. They asked us to help them capture the urgent need for donations — their relief fund was running low — and spread the message that “family helps family.” We planned, conducted the interviews, and captured the b-roll for this video and their other fundraiser, The Why video, on two consecutive days.
